The aroma of herbed chicken, tomato-based pasta sauce and fresh rolls welcomed Roar to his neighbor’s home. He waited to until everyone was seated and served before breaking the news.

The old Jubar woman and teenage human girl gawked at him. “GLASSMAN’S GONE?!”

“Was he fired?” The girl gleefully eyed the hard candy garnish of the cake on a nearby counter. “Did he cry?”

The woman took a bite of pasta. “I hope someone finally dragged his authority-abusing behind to court.”

Roar shrugged. “The new guy only said Glassman had a ‘new gig’.”

“OH MY GOSH NEW GUY!??” The girl sat forward. “What’s he like?”

“Stiff.” Roar paused. “He tried to give me a business card.”

The girl sighed dramatically at the ceiling. “Uuuuughh!! You left out the two most important thiiiings!”

“Two things?” said Roar.

The woman nodded gravely. “Is he hot, and is he single?”

The ladies high-fived.
