Our Itty Bitty Logbook

Megan and I used a tiny blue notebook to keep track of times we saw animals and reached placesIMAG1352 (2) between Fairbanks, AK, and Bellingham, WA. We didn’t have a plan about what we wanted to record, we just wrote down stuff as it happened.

Looking at the little book after a year, we laughed. We could see the steady drop in our sanity, focus and willingness to call things and animals by their correct names (with or without correct spellings, which we documented phonetically because why not).

I thought it’d be fun to share so here it is, typed as written (lower case, upper case, spelling, etc.):

Interestingly, we stopped writing in the blue book after crossing into Washington. (Megan: “I love that we stopped after USA. Like, ‘Yup. We’re done. All done with this’.”)

Logbooks of randomness are fun (I wish we’d kept writing though to Florida). I highly recommend them.
