Startled, Bjorn jumped but managed to play it off; however, in that moment, he missed what the other two said.

Roar smiled. “–Right?”

The uninvited Class 3 and store owner, whose color had returned accompanied by childlike wonderment, were waiting for Bjorn to say something.

On the spot, Bjorn stammered, “I-I’m sorry—.”

“Don’t worry,” said Roar. “I’ll save you.”

Bjorn watched Roar pluck the business card from his fingers and give it to Mr. Lan before turning back to him, hand out. “I want one, too, please.”

Now he wants a card? Watchful, Bjorn relinquished another from a stack bound by a beige rubber band which he returned to a pocket.

Lan studied the card, a liminal tremor in his hands causing the paper to shiver, before looking up at the blond giant. “I didn’t expect to meet the new guy so soon,” Lan said. “You surprised me.”
